Simple machines

My family has made a pulley system for lifting firewood up our steep hill so we can stack it and use it for firewood in the winter.
To make our pulley system, we first went to a store to buy all the materials we’d need. We bought- a bucket, two pulleys (one big one little), a carabiner, and some rope. Next, we went home and tied some rope to the handles of our bucket and hitched it to the carabiner. Then we attached the carabiner to another rope that was connected to a small pulley.

We strung a rope from the top of the hill to the bottom of the hill where the wood was. We then attached the bucket and the smaller pulley to the rope so that it would slide across it.

Finally, we attached a rope to the bucket and used it to pull the system up the hill with the help of a larger pulley at the top of the hill.
